It makes me sew!!! Happy
I had a little time to sew this past week. It has been such a busy summer so far that I have hardly had time to create. It feels wonderful,I whipped up a few pillows from some beautiful old barkcloth to bring up to the Monticello.
Some of my favorite things
We had a very successful weekend scavenging for treasures. I had all these great intentions of taking pictures and showing our pile of treasures and then I forgot and tagged and boxed things up to go to the Monticello or to the Coburg Antique Show. Yes we have officially decided to do the show once again this year. We did not do it last year for the first time in 8 years but will do the all night grind of setting up at 3.00a.m. once again this year. This is a fantastic show if you have never been to it. Since my treasures are already buried again I'll show some of my favorite things in our home. I am very sentimental so if it means something to me it becomes a favorite.

Sheep 4-H Fairtime
What a great week. We spent a large portion of the week at the fairgrounds with daughters Emma and Grace showing their sheep. Oldest daughter Julie was there most of the time with significant other Tyler. Julie and Tyler were great and helped so much as this is all pretty new for us. It is a great program and a positive thing for the kids to be involved in. Both girls did great and tonight sold their sheep at the 4-H auction. Its over for this year and well look forward to next.

Tuesday's trip to Monticello
Monday night I got a call from the sweet gals at Monticello telling me two of our large cupboards had just sold and my booth was of course , declared a national disaster with all of the cupboards belongings all over the floor.I realized I'd better quickly gather up some large pieces to bring up as soon as possible. So as soon as I could gather a load Tuesday morning, Sarah my youngest gal and I headed north in the old black faithful pickup. We worked fast and furiously and finished redoing our booth just as the store was closing. Another successful trip to our favorite store.
Tomorrow the big 4-h Fair begins and daughters Gracie and Emma will be showing their sheep. They have worked hard preparing them for the big week. We'll spend the next few days at the fairgrounds .

Wow what a weekend...
We had an incredibly full weekend which we topped off tonight by hosting our kid's youth group for a yummy barbecue. Grace is showing her badminton moves ,and Aaron and his friend Brandon relax with the dog. Can't believe it's already Monday tomorrow. I found some fun treasures this weekend, hopefully I'll get some pictures posted. Happy week to everyone!

Little Lily's Birthday
We celebrated our Grand baby's 1st birthday yesterday. Oldest son Marvie Jr. and wife Suzi had a big party at their home in Salem. This is Lilia with an outfit I made for her birthday. I figured my daughter in law Suzi would appreciate something handmade. We had a great time and Lily was adorable and seemed to really enjoy the party. Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July.
