The weeks are flying by. We woke up to snow this morning after last Sunday's record high of 84°. What strange spring weather. But at Colby Cottage we are still gearing up full speed for spring. This week we do the set up at the Monticello Spring Sale which starts April 25, we have been busily fixing up furniture, building a smaller garden shed thats awfully cute, and preparing lots of new items to sell.

As you can see, I'm a lover of vintage barkcloth.
I've collected it for years and am dipping into my stash...

We enjoyed another beautiful sunny day today, which also happened to be our anniversary...happy anniversary Marv! we just couldn't help but show these adorable pictures of our grand baby Maya. Her auntie Grace took them in hopes of encouraging her to become a fellow pianist. We think shes sooooooooo cute!!

Another trip to Portland. It's been one week that we have been set up in our new place at the Monticello. We were very pleased with our first week as it paid the rent for the month. I brought my little antiquing pal Emma. At 11 she already has an eye for treasures. We did a little thrift shopping along with restocking our booth. As you can see I spent all my excess time this week making pincushions. Why? I have no idea.

Monticello adventures...

There is never a dull moment, boring day or uneventful month in the Colby household. Yesterday Marv and I hauled a trailer to Portland filled with a variety of treasures to set up our new booth at the Monticello Marketplace. We spent all day unpacking and displaying until closing, but got it pretty well situated. We don't know what to expect so decided on a variety of treasures. I love many different types of Antiques so we will experiment and see what sells. I hope to restock weekly.
