In the mood for Fall
Life has been a whirlwind around here and I must say I am ready for the quiet, cooler Fall days, when I sit inside crafting and sipping coffee. We have been bringing loads of new "old" merchandise to the shop and constantly redoing areas as furniture items sell. This business is a nonstop, no breaks allowed type of work. Just when I think it is all set for a few days, I get that phone call. And do I complain, No, I am thrilled, don't get me wrong, sales are a wonderful thing.
So today I will do something different and join "White Wednesday"http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/ I always look at all the lovely posts, and I hugely admire Kathleen who hosts this fun event so I will be sharing some velvet pumpkins I've been working on along with a chippy white crown display pc.

Updates from the Store
We have been busily preparing the "Barn" area at the store for a huge salvage area in the back. We have a small salvage area but it can"t accommodate the amount of doors, windows, architectural pcs that we have available to sell.
First we had to clear out a large area and then move an amount of our items to another area in the store that we are now also filling with mostly garden and a bit more color.

Wedding Fun
The last couple weeks have been busy for sure. I got the pleasure of doing the flowers and decorating for my dear friend's daughter's wedding. My beautiful 4th daughter, is the bridesmaid on the right side. My family went camping as was planned a year in advance, so I was left behind with #4 daughter to enjoy "wedding," befores, during and afters.
After cleaning up from wedding event we also were able to go camping and enjoy family and friends for a week.
Here are some photos of the wedding preparations

A little Hen talk
Just thought I'd share a few pics of our chickens. Its not that I have nothing better to post about, I just really enjoy our faithful hens. They so dutifully supply us with eggs and a whole lot of entertainment as well. We have sixteen sweet hens and they give us a variety of eggs daily.
We don't sell our eggs, rather, we give them to our neighbors in egg baskets and enjoy their delight in farm fresh eggs.

Lovely Weather
We are so enjoying this wonderful weather. We have been working in the yard, painting all kinds of projects that we are preparing for sale, and even doing some long awaited upkeep on our home.
These lovely Peonies are from our yard
I have been parting with loads of fabric,Trying to downsize my stash
This sweet little window tool shed, is looking pretty fun, filled with garden displays
Business at the "Barn" has kept us hopping and we are thrilled to have the problem of needing to bring in more large furniture pieces. Thus the lack of time at the computer lately. Have a wonderful week!

Sunshiney Days
It was a lovely day today here in Eugene. We worked outside and I was amazed at the beauty of Spring. As my husband was pruning apple trees, I was salvaging the gorgeous blossoms.
This was the perfect way to unwind after a hectic couple of weeks. The Spring Soiree went fabulous and then I immediately started making birthday decor for our grand baby's first birthday. What a sweetie! Next up was a fundraiser silent auction for the school my children take classes at. I started as helper and some how became in charge of food and decor. The event was last night and I spent the entire week baking, decorating and preparing food for the fundraiser. We were blessed with an incredible evening.
Luke's 1st Birthday, What a gift little grandchildren are!
late night decorating for the auction, with daughter Emma
All that to say we enjoyed some sun today!!! And lots of coffee~
